- This is the first classic bdsm story. Written by Pauline Reage, ( a nom de plume) in Paris in 1954.

- After seeing the 3 versions of this movie I wasn’t surprised to find out “sir Stephen” ( and I use the term loosely; he ain’t no more a knight than I am a fighter pilot and I’m a navy vet; makes me wonder who his parents paid off for his knighthood)is a scumbag (just didn’t realize how big of a d-canoe he really is)and I kind of figured Rene’ was a pig(a spoiled rich frat boy);gathered up Jaquline and Natelie up and fled to the other side of the country to hide from Stephen

- I’ve seen both parts of this saga (spoiler alert)and was saddened by the fact that it was more soft core than anything else.I would have loved to see Anne-Marie putting the rings into O.the thing that iratated me the most was O”s “trainer” didn’t make any allowances for O get up in the middle of the night to go pee,or the fact that if the castle had caught fire, not being able to escape, or the fact that O is a woman (need I say more? HINT HINT; even if the subject is taboo)
